This blog is maintained by Ewout Kramer, living and working in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have been involved in computers almost since I could count, had a brief career in satellite communications and ended up in healthcare IT when I was asked to help a company make their software communicate using something that was called HL7. I never looked back, and now I am part of the FHIR core team, responsible for its design, development and publication.
I am employed by Firely, an IT company specialized in development and implementation of healthcare software. Furore is supporting the HL7 FHIR effort by allowing me to spend a generous amount of time on the project and travelling around the world to spread the word.
